Caption reads: (Oct. 24, 1954)—AERIAL DONKEY SHINES—Despite appearances, it’s not true that any donkey can fly a jet. This one happens to be the mascot of the U.S. Air Force’s 302nd Tactical Reconnaissance squadron at Sembach, Germany, and has certain privileges not granted to ordinary civilians. Three of the squadron’s officers brought the long-eared pet back from a leave in Italy.
